SCHOOLNET GUYANA PILOT LAUNCH

SchoolNet Guyana Pilot Launch
Computer lab at Diamond Secondary School

The launch of Global Literacy’s SchoolNet Guyana Pilot program takes place on Friday, January 29, 2010 in Georgetown, Guyana.
The project will integrate ICT in all secondary schools across the country and will benefit close to 100,000 students. Three pilot schools at Diamond, Bygeval and Parika have been computerized and efforts are ongoing to complete the remaining two pilot schools at Patentia and Beterverwagting. With the help of our donor community and alumni associations, Global Literacy expects to establish fully furnished labs in 50 more secondary schools across the country by the end of 2010.
